    The Lovers Rider Waite Description

In the original Rider-Waite tarot deck, The Lovers card illustrates a naked man and naked woman facing each other.

The two beings are being protected by protected and blessed by an angel above them. This is Archangel Rafael.

While the man looks to the woman, the woman does not break her gaze from above to the angel.

The two appear to be standing in The Garden of Eden, and happily so, as they appear to be in bliss.
